Buyer review
clovadata.comClova Data's ads for law firms and builders: the facts
Since 14 October 2026 Clova Data has aimed ads squarely at MSPs, contractors and law firms. The ads reference MyCase, Filevine, Clio, Buildertrend and Procore, and promise full de-identification.
Its website was registered the day before, and its legal pages still carry template placeholders.
Some buyers pay us a referral fee. It never changes your price or our score. How we make money.

What we like
- Says there are no fees to sellers
Watch for
- Its legal pages are blank templates written for a real estate lead-gen firm
- Shows big AI lab names with no stated tie to any of them
- Ads began one day after the domain was registered

06
Why law and construction data need extra care
A law firm's matters in MyCase, Filevine or Clio contain privileged client information. A builder's Procore projects contain paperwork belonging to project owners and subcontractors. Whoever takes this data should commit in writing to who de-identifies it, how, and who signs off that it worked.
07
Is Clova Data a fit for your company?
We would not send privileged or third-party records to an advertiser that names no company. Get offers from named buyers first. See law firms and construction.
08
Six checks before you send Clova Data anything
We run the same checks on every buyer we rank. They take an afternoon and they protect the one thing you cannot take back: the copy of your records.
- Find the legal entity. A registered company name, an address and at least one named person. A Facebook form alone is not enough.
- Get the offer and the contract in writing before any export. A sample agreement tells you more than a sales call.
- Ask who strips personal data, how, and when. You should approve the method and see a sample before anything leaves your systems.
- Ask where the data goes. Which AI companies receive it, whether you are told, and whether it can be resold.
- Ask how everyone is paid. By you, by the buyer, or out of your deal. Referral fees are normal; hidden ones are not.
- Get a second quote. Terms from at least one other buyer is the fastest way to know if an offer is fair.
