How we make money
This site is free for business owners and for experts. It pays for itself through referral fees: some buyers pay us when a company we introduce signs a data license, or when someone we send them is hired.
The fee comes out of the buyer's pocket, never yours, and it never changes what you are offered. Below are the rules we follow and every program we know about.
01
Our rules
- Scores come first. Every score comes from sourced facts and the published rubric. Referral fees are never an input.
- Scores can't be bought. Money never moves a score, buys a badge or gets a fact taken down.
- You never pay us. Owners, experts and readers pay nothing, ever.
- Disclosure where you decide. Rankings and outbound buttons carry a short note that we may earn a fee.
- We don't represent anyone. We publish research. We are not a broker, agent or representative for the owners or the buyers on this site.
- Your details are never sold. We pass your details to a buyer only when you ask for that specific introduction.

What being paid does and does not change
We may feature buyers we have agreements with, for example in quiz matches and on the homepage. Every buyer we review, paying or not, keeps its full review and its score from the same rubric.
A featured buyer is not necessarily the highest scored. Each card shows the buyer's score and rank, so you can see the difference for yourself.
04
Why we disclose like this
Under the FTC's Endorsement Guides, a referral fee is a material connection that has to be disclosed plainly. The FTC's rule on reviews and testimonials also outlaws fake and paid-for reviews. We follow both, wherever our readers are.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Can a buyer pay for a listing or a better rank?
No. Every buyer we review is listed and scored by the same method, whether or not it pays us.
Are you paid when my company signs a data license?
From some buyers, yes. The buyer pays it, not you, and it never changes your offer or the buyer's score.
Will a buyer offer me less because you earn a fee?
No. Every program listed above pays us out of the buyer's own share, so the business pays nothing extra.
